Elit Rowland has worked with leading wholesaler JJ Foodservice since 2014 and was the first person to introduce a social media strategy to the business. JJ’s operates across eleven UK branches and supplies more than 30,000 catering customers including schools and general restaurants. Today, JJ Foodservice has more than 10,000 followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Social platforms are now one of the top ten drivers to the JJ Foodservice website, accounting for an average of £10,000 in direct sales per year. Elit has also worked with JJ’s to build brand awareness and generate positive reviews across the entire business – including a campaign that generated more than 700 Five Star reviews on Google my Business. She will be discussing the opportunities and challenges of using social media in foodservice.
